✅ Pros: Excellent app experience and built-in AI camera.
❌ Cons: Slightly less open than competitors like Prusa.
✅ Pros: Industrial grade; chamber heating prevents warping.
❌ Cons: Very heavy and large desktop footprint.
The Qidi X-Max 3 is the industrial winner here, featuring an actively heated chamber and a 350°C nozzle for engineering plastics. The AnkerMake M5 is a consumer PLA printer that can't touch the Qidi's material range. **The trade-off:** The Qidi is a massive, ugly beast that takes up half a room. We really wish the AnkerMake M5 had at least a basic enclosure kit for ASA printing. Pick the Qidi for heavy-duty engineering, or the Anker for the desktop experience.
