⚖️ Expert Verdict
The AnkerMake M5 is a fantastic high-speed printer for the home enthusiast, but the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon is a professional-grade powerhouse that leads the market. While the Anker offers an impressive AI-assisted camera, the X1 Carbon features a sophisticated LIDAR sensor that automatically calibrates the first layer and checks for flow errors. The X1C is also fully enclosed and features a hardened steel nozzle, allowing it to print abrasive materials like Carbon Fiber or Glass Fiber straight away. Anker's touchscreen and app are very intuitive, but the X1C’s processing power handles massive, complex files with much greater efficiency. You also get a beautiful 5-inch touchscreen on the X1C compared to the smaller interface on the M5. The X1 Carbon is designed for those who want the absolute best technology currently available in desktop 3D printing. The Anker is a fun and fast machine, but it simply cannot compete with the X1C’s automation and material range. We recommend the X1 Carbon for anyone who views 3D printing as more than just an occasional hobby.
