Is the newer model always the better choice in the ultra-budget category? The HP DeskJet 2810e is essentially a refreshed version of the 2710e, focusing on improved energy efficiency and much more stable dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity. Both printers share the same 2-cartridge ink system and basic scanning flatbed, making them best suited for very occasional use. Neither machine supports automatic double-sided printing, so you will be flipping pages manually on both. The 2810e features slightly faster 'first-page-out' times, which makes a small difference when you're in a hurry to print a single label.
