⚖️ Expert Verdict

The Bambu Lab P1P and the Original Prusa Mini+ represent two very different scales of hobbyist printing. The P1P is a high-speed CoreXY machine that offers a significantly larger build volume and much faster print times out of the box. While the Prusa Mini+ is a beloved cantilever workhorse known for its incredible reliability and compact footprint, it simply cannot keep up with the P1P’s acceleration. The P1P also offers an easier path to multi-colour printing through the AMS system, whereas the Mini+ lacks a native multi-material option. However, the Prusa Mini+ wins on customer support and the sheer quality of its documentation, which is vital for beginners who want to learn the mechanics. The P1P feels like a modern appliance that you just plug in and run, while the Mini+ feels like a precision tool for a dedicated maker. If space is your primary constraint, the Mini+ is excellent, but for almost every other metric, the P1P is the more capable modern machine. We recommend the P1P for those who want speed and size without the premium price of the X1 series.

What Owners Are Saying?

Original Prusa MINI+

Arthur
"Compact and reliable. Never throws a wobbly. Absolute unit for a small desk."

Daisy S.
"Proper quality prints every time. Sorted."

Bambu Lab P1P

Freddie
"Cheapest way into the Bambu ecosystem. Speed is mind-blowing. Printed a ream of PLA already with zero fails. If you don't need the enclosure, this is the one."

Sienna
"Great ROI. Camera is a bit rubbish though."

Jude B.
"Fast as you like, but I wish the frame was a bit more rigid. It can rattle a bit on the faster accelerations."
