⚖️ Expert Verdict
The Bambu Lab P1S and the Sovol SV06 represent the difference between a high-end 'finished' product and a budget-friendly 'project' printer. The Sovol SV06 is an incredible value for its price, offering a sturdy FDM platform for those who don't mind manual leveling and tinkering. However, the P1S is a fully enclosed, high-speed CoreXY machine that offers a level of automation and speed the Sovol cannot touch. The P1S’s enclosure allows for printing technical materials and muffles the noise of the high-speed motors, making it much better for home use. Bambu’s software ecosystem is also miles ahead, providing a seamless experience from mobile app to slicer. While the Sovol is a great entry point for those on a strict budget, the P1S is a printer you won't outgrow for a very long time. The P1S also supports the AMS for multi-colour prints, a feature that would be very difficult to add to a Sovol. If you can afford the investment, the P1S is the much more capable and enjoyable machine. The P1S wins for its combination of speed, enclosure, and ease of use.
